Princes Behaving Badly
And a princess, and a duchess perhaps too…
The big news in the royal family is Queen Elizabeth contracting Covid. This news is being carried on all news sources. Yes, it’s good that the Queen has mild symptoms, and I hope she’s feeling better quite soon. After the story on the Queen, the next biggest news covers two princes who act entitled and don’t seem to think the rules should necessarily apply to them.
Yes, it’s Prince Andrew and Prince Harry, though I thought princes were supposed to be helping people, saving damsels in distress and not raping them, being chivalrous rather than expecting to be served by their aides, security, or whoever has the money they want. I thought a prince was a good person who made his family proud and didn’t value money over people.
I see that Andrew and Harry both have hurt their family and the royal family’s image. Andrew strikes me as a guy who thinks he is above others. It’s a vibe I get from him, and when he strode up to the cameras and spoke for a long while on his father’s death, I kept thinking, “Shut up.” “Shut up.”
Andrew looked like he reveled in his time on camera, and those are precisely the people who should be shoved to the side and forgotten. Andrew likes attention, and that is what rankles me. Why doesn’t he try to help his brother look good? Why ever not?
I do hope Andrew is silent for the rest of his life. He comes off so badly in person, on camera, or wherever. His ex-wife doesn’t do his image any favors, and then it looks like Princess Eugenie was the mole who was feeding Meghan and Harry private palace information. Some think Andrew told Eugenie who told Meghan. The whole lot of them should be shipped to an island where there is no way to communicate with the outside world.
Am I being too honest here?
Probably.
I am an American who likes royal watching, but it’s been painful for five long years now. When do the people get a reprieve from Harry, his wife and Andrew? Soon, I hope. I hope the Queen’s Jubilee year doesn’t include any of them, and then we can all enjoy the good royals having fun and celebrating the Queen and not themselves.
I’ll explain in case you aren’t up to date. Andrew wanted a trial in the lawsuit Virginia Guiffre filed against Andrew, but he settled out of court with her. No matter what he did or didn’t do, Andrew had bad friends. He hung out with Epstein and Maxwell. Princes are judged by the company they keep, especially these days. So Andrew looks guilty, yet he keeps trying to come back to the front of the royal family.
As for Harry, he’s looking more spoiled by the day. He is essentially suing his grandma, so he can have important Royal Protection police escorting him and his wife all over the Britain whenever they enter that country. He tried to keep it a secret that he’s not bowing to his grandma’s wishes, but it came out that Harry is going after the Queen to break rules for him, as if he is special.
Harry used to be 3rd in line to the Throne, but he now sits at 6th in line, and he will only move further down the line when Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis have children. It isn’t as long off as some think. George will turn 9 this year. In ten years he might meet his future wife.
Prince William and Catherine met when they were 19. William waited a long minute to marry Catherine, but George likely will not. When he has children, Harry will move down. And down. And down. So why the need to pester his Queen over having special royal security at all times when Eugenie, Princess Anne, Beatrice, Zara and Peter don’t have it either?
See that entitlement acting up again? It’s never a good look on a prince.
Spoiled princes are rotten, and who in the world needs more preening people who prove by their actions they think they are better than non-royal people? It’s not a good look at all.
Meanwhile, Meghan has been quietly working on trying to get some photos of her with the real royals in Britain during the Queen’s Jubilee, except the people in the UK cannot abide her. Meghan has lied a lot about many things, and while some clamor for her title to be removed, I think just refusing to give Meghan and Harry anything they want is good.
They left a mean, racist, toxic family (their words, not mine) who never asked if Meg was okay. They left that family for freedom, so why are Harry and his wife trying to crawl back into the British picture? I’d stay away from in-laws who were awful, except we know from millions of people that the royals are nice! They aren’t racist. Harry is, but he’s the only one.
So there it is. The bad news about the bad royals.
If you like good news, the next edition of royaltee is due out this coming week. I will be focusing on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s probable move to Windsor, on their upcoming tour of the Caribbean, on Prince Charles and Camilla’s good work going on, and also looking at how little Catherine (Kate to some) spent on clothes last year.
I’m so impressed by Catherine. She could easily spend millions on clothes, but with her killer physique she looks good in anything. Add to that her talent for playing piano, which she never spoke about ever, and it is clear this woman is a princess! From birth it seems. William is a good royal too, but it’s exciting when a commoner marries royalty and comes off as the perfect one.
Nobody is perfect, but I’ll be writing about Catherine and William and their three lovely children. I’d write about their dog, but I love cats, so that’s where I don’t fit in with the British royal family. They dearly love their dogs. I can admire that at least.
